A brief history
Originally known as the not-for-profit Samuel Bliss Eye Clinic, located within the Health and Community Service Center in the Bukhareim neighborhood, our optometrist has examined thousands of satisfied patients since 1983.
Dr. Gary Roth joined the clinic’s staff in 1996, followed by his wife, Rachel Roth, in 1997. In addition to on-site vision tests, Dr. Roth has performed screenings at various schools and nursing homes offsite and given talks about eyecare to children in an English-speaking pre-kindergarten and to the Hebrew-speaking faculty of a Charedi boys’ school.
The charitable Project EyeSave originated at Roth Optometry]’s predecessor, the Samuel Bliss Eye Clinic. Read this article in the Cleveland Jewish News featuring Dr. Gary Project EyeSave.
In 2008, the Eye Clinic relocated to its present location in Ramat Eshkol, and in 2014, it became a private enterprise under the ownership of Rachel Roth.
The eye clinic’s name changed in 2014 to reflect its new status as a for-profit and its new owner, Rachel Roth.
Roth Optometry is now supporting charitable groups such as United Hatzolah and Emunah.
