I took part in a major international research project on myopia (nearsightedness) development, through the Hadassah Academic College Department of Optometry with a group of other optometrists.
The research project investigated the role of various factors that are suspected of causing the common increase of myopia during the formative years. Genetics, near-point stress, outdoor lighting, etc. are all involved in the nearsightedness puzzle.
My section examined young men of differing backgrounds. (secular, religious, Haredi)
