A young girl suffered from headaches for years, and a number of health professionals were unable to diagnose and treat the cause– a pediatrician, optometrists, an ophthalmologist, and a neurologist. Finally, Dr. Roth detected an unusual type of eye turn and prescribed special eyeglasses that contained yoked prisms, which shifted her gaze to a more comfortable position. This caused a significant improvement to her headaches.
Following this successful treatment, Dr. Roth presented a poster entitled “Mystery Headaches Due to V-exo Pattern” at the 2017 American Optometric Association Optometry’s Meeting in Washington, DC. This annual event was attended by optometrists and other professionals from all over the world. His case report was a joint research venture between the Hadassah Academic College Department of Optometry and the Roth Eye Clinic, and spanned fourteen years.
